A Beach For Everyone- The Calangute Beach

The Calangute beach is among the famous beaches in Goa. It is one of the largest beaches in Goa that welcomes large flocks of local and global visitors, daily. The Calangute beach in Goa, often referred as the ‘Queen of Beaches’ is 7 km long and is located at a distance of 15 km from Panaji- the capital of Goa.

The Calangute beach beautifully lights up during the Christmas and New Year’s season. The beach is teeming with fun-filled activities of the carnivals and bistros serving delectable local and international cuisines; especially the seafood prepared from the fresh catch from the Arabian Sea.

The summer season is yet another time when you should pay a visit to this beach. Why? Water sport activities on the beach will thrill your nerves and cool you on a hot day. Parasailing and water skiing will pump your adrenalin, if you seeking adventure. However, the maddening downpour during the monsoon (June to September) plays a spoil sport and is best to avoid visiting the beach.

For shopaholics, the shops erected along the beach offers memorabilia, liquor, clothes, shoes, food items (pickles, wafers) from Rajasthan, Tibet, Indonesia, Kashmir and local regions.
